Name ::
Avenge "Inflict harm on behalf of oneself or someone else previously wronged or harmed" Nickname :: None Gender :: Male Species :: Wolf Status :: Mates with Fenrir Orientation :: Homosexual Site Link :: Link |
Personality ::
Quiet, calm, patient, caring, protective,
Even as a puppy, Avenge has always been quiet. Not shy or afraid of others, just quiet. Unless something needs to be said, he would much rather communicate via body language. It just felt more natural for him, and made it much easier for him to listen to what others had to say since he wasn't making any noise to interupt or block them from talking. Of course he would never be rude and refuse to speak to others, and would answer them politely if they asked something of him, but if given the opportunity to be silent he would. With one exception. Although he doesn't do it much any more, when he was younger he used to love singing to his sister. Never when others were around, with the exception of their mother, so when he no longer had her to sing to, he just stopped. Sometimes when he is upset, he will sing again, although very quietly to himself. It's a very rare occurance that few have heard. Partly due to the fact that he likes to keep his negative emotions to himself, to not burden others with his sadness. Because of his very protective nature, he will try and shield others from things that are bothering him, which can cause him more issues but he prefers to deal with it himself. Still, Fenrir is trying to work on getting him to open up more. This protectiveness over his loved ones extends a little further than it probably should, as sometimes he can be a bit overprotective, but they understand his reasons, and try and help him through it on the whole. He would do anything in order to keep his loved ones safe, which is why he is usually quite closed with his affection, not letting too many get close to him. But as a social being, he couldn't help but be dragged back into the world, with those that he loves surrounding him. Although he knows that if anything happens to them, it could potentially break him once again. Still, his nerves aren't a major part of who he is any more. He's calm and collecting, and known for his patience and maturity, so is often the first choice for friends to go to in times of need. He doesn't mind at all, and really appreciates that they hold him in such high regards. Friendly and eager to help others as much as he can, he will always put others first, which can be a major flaw of his. However caring he may be though, with the mixture of other traits that make up his character, things can quickly turn very sour if you get on his bad side. It's a difficult thing to do, but if you hurt someone he loves, he will defend them to the best of his ability. Don't underestimate him because he is nice, because he will do anything to remedy the situation, even fight.

History ::
As a puppy, Avenge was happy and healthy, with a small but good family. He was one of two pups, a boy and a girl, born to a single mother who cared for them as well as she could on her own. He and his sister were very close, and he looks back at those carefree times when they were both children with glee. Unfortunately there were things going on with his sister that he didn't understand, which flipped his life upside down once he was told. She had been born with a defect that would plague her throughout her life, if it didn't kill her. It caused her to be very brittle. Much more than the average puppy. He protected her from everything he could, trying to be the best big brother he could possibly be, but he couldn't stop the inevitable. She died before she reached adulthood, leaving him to carry on his own. It broke his heart. After spending so much time looking after her, he felt that he had lost his purpose. If he was quiet before, he was now silent, shrinking back into a shell to try and protect himself from the outside world. He promised himself that he wouldn't let anything else break him, and that meant keeping others away, but as much as he tried to keep this promise, the world had other ideas. A slightly younger wolf bounced into his life and refused to be kept at arm's length. Avenge fell hard and fast. Though ashamed of himself for breaking his promise, Fenrir brought him out of the shell that he had formed around himself, and gave him someone else to look after. So Avenge made himself a new promise, to take care of and protect Fenrir as he had wanted to protect his sister, but also to live his own life. To do the things that made him happy, and be with the one that made him feel like a whole being again. It's difficult to keep promises of that magnitude, but he thinks he might be able to manage that one.

Relationships ::
Avenge hasn't been close with many throughout his lifetime, due to the things that have happened to him, but those he was close with were very dear to him. His mother and sister meant the world to him. He would do anything for either of them, and will never forget the good times with all three of them. He still sees his mother, always on or around the date of his sister's death, to offer comfort to her at such a dark time, but also just throughout the year to make the most of the time he has left with her. When he retreated back into his shell, he found that it was too difficult to go home, so didn't see her very often as it was just too painful for him, but Fenrir changed that. His mother approves of him moving on with his own life, and loves Fenrir for allowing Avenge to do that. It means a lot to him that she does, because she is definitely one of the most important beings in his life.
Fenrir is an unlikely match for him. He's young and exciteable, loud and reckless, almost the opposite of Avenge. But somehow they work. Avenge cares for him a great deal, and would do anything to keep Fenrir out of trouble. Fenrir knows this but doesn't take advantage as some would. He respects Avenge, and recognises that sometimes you have to compromise a little bit in order to make something work. Not that they can't be themselves around each other, they just try to limit behaviours that would hurt the other. Like Avenge really tries not to be overprotective, and the pair are working on it together. Same with getting him to open up about his feelings so that they can both work through it instead of Avenge having to deal with it on his own. But at the same time, Fenrir tries to be less foolish so that Avenge doesn't have to worry about him. They think about each other before they act, and make decisions as a pair. Somehow it works.

Physical Information ::
Avenge is long and lean with a large fluffy tail and thin legs. He isn't suited to a lot of physical activity, but remains large enough to be considered intimidating if he wants to be. His pinky red eyes help to make him look more fierce than he actually is. His fur is mostly white, although fades into grey at the tips of his large ears, his tail and the ends of his legs. His inner ear, muzzle and around the eyes have a more pink appearance, with a brown nose at the end of his fairly long muzzle. On his face by his eyes and down his back are dark tattoo-like markings. No one is quite sure what they are, or what they are depicting if they are unnatural marks. On his back right leg only, he has a tattoo covering his ankle to his foot, stopping at the toes. He wears brown bands just above his feet on his front legs, and in the middle of his back legs. Three of these bands are also in his tail. |
