Name ::
Aaron Hebrew origin, "exalted" Nickname :: Paladin Gender :: Male Species :: Canine Status :: Single Orientation :: Homosexual Site Link :: Link |
Personality ::
Dutiful, loyal, closed-off, good, guilty, courageous.
Aaron has always believed in doing good and has a strong sense of morals to back it up. He was a very trusting individual when he was younger, which led him down some paths that he wasn’t comfortable travelling, as a result he has become more closed off, and trusts only in himself until trust is earned. He is now more cautious of others and their motives and has given himself a code of conduct to follow to ensure that he remains on the right path, no matter what others want him to do. Despite the closed off exterior, Aaron’s heart has barely changed. He is kind and gentle, always willing to lend a hand to someone else, and loyal to a fault. Despite no longer being with the order, he always tries to keep their core ideals alive as he believes that at its centre it really was good. His devotion to his duty borders on obsessive, but this is the way he has chosen to live his life. He must be good and do the right thing, be courageous even if he is afraid, help others even at the expense of himself and even be willing to take a life if it means that others are spared. Others are more important than himself, and so he is eternally prepared to do whatever he can to keep them safe, even if it is from himself.

History ::
Aaron’s parents were nobodies. No one cared about them, but they tried their best to be good in such an unforgiving world. They instilled this in Aaron from a young age. Being hateful only took you places that you didn’t want to go and made you (and those around you) miserable. When they became ill and couldn’t afford the cure, Aaron wanted so badly to hate those around him – those who were denying his family treatment – but that’s not what they wanted from him. Despite being only young at the time, he cared for them to the best of his ability before they eventually passed. Unable to care for himself adequately on his own, Aaron turned to an order of paladins for employment. He trained and trained and followed the code that they set out for him because it was what his parents would have wanted for him. For a while he was doing well. He got on well with many of the others, although they often took advantage of his kind nature. Aaron wasn’t blind, he could see what they were doing, but he didn’t mind as long as he was helping someone. Just as all things become corrupted, the order fell prey to greed and the ulterior motives of the higher ups. Aaron, being young and naïve, followed blindly and asked no questions. At first anyway. As time passed and the corruption became more obvious in their actions, he grew conflicted. The order started turning away those who couldn’t afford aid and helping those with questionable motives as long as they paid. This didn’t sit right with Aaron, particularly because of what happened with his parents, so he started openly challenging them. He was lucky that the only punishment he received was expulsion from the group. He shut himself off and lived away from others for a while, taking odd jobs and just looking out for himself, but he wasn’t happy like this. Looking back at his time with the order, he realised that however much it soured towards the end due to their actions, he was happiest when he was helping others. So, he took it on himself to live the way that the order should have been.

Relationships ::
Aaron has no specific ties to other characters, owned by myself or by others.
He was a part of an order of paladins who vowed to help others and seek out justice. Although he is no longer a part of this order, he would still be friendly with some members if he ran into them again. There were many who shared similar views as Aaron but did not question the order so openly, enabling them to remain in the order and possibly try and change it from the inside. Aaron couldn't follow orders knowing that the corruption was so deep within the organisation, so he had to leave, however he wishes them the best in attempting to correct the order.
Aaron doesn't make a lot of friends any more. He specifically tries to avoid it as he knows that there is still anmosity between him and certain members of the order, but also that his life is a dangerous one, and he wouldn't want to bring another into that on purpose. His code of conduct means that he must be willing to lay down his life if he has to, and he knows that this would be devastating to anyone close to him, so he doesn't let others get that close. He just doesn't want anyone else to get hurt.

Physical Information ::
Aaron is an unknown canine species. He has a fairly slender frame, however it is very clearly lean and muscular. There is no doubt that he leads a fit and active life, and is very strong as he has no difficulty moving with his heavy armour on. Two small brown wings sprout from his back. They are too small for him to use, so are not operational. His fur is a mixture of shades of brown with a darker shade on the top of his body and a lighter tone on the lower half. He has a tuft of fur on his head which is the same lighter brown streaked with a darker brown. This style is similar when he is anthro. He has several scars across his body, though most notably on his back legs, flank and across his snout. None of them are fresh, but they appear to still give him a little bit of grief. His armour is well made and solid, it is silver but not always shiny as it is in use. It has sections of gold decoration. In anthro it covers more of his body. |
